The Sober Zone staff believes that getting a client sober is only part of a complete effort. It is our experience that achieving sobriety is relatively easier than maintaining sobriety. Our commitment is to give each of those we work with the tools and resources to stay sober. We believe that sobriety is more than simply abstaining from those substances that intoxicate us. Our treatment services consist of a systematic and detailed process that treats the whole person: mentally, physically, and spiritually. Without treating these components of the “whole person,” the likelihood of permanent sobriety is greatly reduced.

Chemical dependency is a chronic condition that must be treated like other chronic illnesses. Therefore, The Sober Zone treatment process will teach each person how they will be able to address their condition in a manner that is practical and effective.

Upon entering our facility, we do a thorough and comprehensive assessment to evaluate what treatment services are necessary.

If a person is just coming off of drugs or alcohol we offer and suggest our residential detoxification (detox) program. Removing the physical cravings is paramount before any effective treatment can be applied. At The Sober Zone, our detox program will allow this transition to take place in the comfort of a homelike setting. All persons in detox will be managed and cared for by a professionally trained and compassionate staff. All detox clients receive 24-hour care. Generally, detox lasts from 7 to 10 days.

Once the physical cravings are removed, a person is ready for our residential treatment program. This is a key educational phase of early recovery. Alcohol and drug education groups are a very important component in order to help our clients see the true nature of their condition. Additional treatment groups give our clients hope by showing them how to overcome this condition and maintain ongoing recovery. Experienced instructors provide each client with the tools they will need to achieve continuous sobriety and will clearly show how to use them. Introduction and instruction to the 12-step philosophy is initiated. A counselor is assigned to each client and will be seen on a one-on-one basis once a week. Our residential program is intensive and clients are monitored around the clock.

The next phase of treatment is our Extended Care program. Transitioning back into society is very important. Clients learn how to integrate back into society and are encouraged to get more involved in the community by seeking employment, participating in community activities, and regularly attending 12-step meetings. Help and guidance are available for those in need of getting their GED. Treatment continues to be vital at this stage of recovery and clients are still required to attend 3 group therapy sessions. Clients will still be seeing their counselor on a weekly basis for one-on-one sessions.

Our last phase of treatment is our Transitional/Sober Living program. Here, clients prove to themselves that they are nearing the exit stage of the program and are preparing for life away from treatment. In sober living, clients are able to put their newfound tools for living to practical use. To assist our clients’ transition, mandatory counseling is provided on a regular basis.
